Aureo & Mirele is a documentary that follows a Brazilian gay man looking for a place to call home while asserting his identity despite multiple obstacles over the years; always with consistent hard work, contagious optimism and a sprinkle of pink fairy dust.

Settling down in a new country is never easy but for Aureo, everything always seems simple. This 54 year-old Brazilian black man has been a hairdresser, a ballet dancer and a Mormon missionary. He has lived in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. As he just moved to Paris, Aureo embarks on an even more thrilling adventure: finding a place in his new life for a mysterious lady called Mirele.
